A little about the planning

It’s been just over 1.5 weeks since the big question. We have decided on a place for the wedding and the reception. Not to mention the actual date. Colors have been actually picked. Lavender and yellow. I found two rolls of ribbon that match what I have pictured in my head.

Bridesmaids have been chosen, maybe not completely notified. Groomsmen have been chosen and I know 2 have been notified. I believe we have decided on the groom and groomsmen wearing suits. I think the best way to incorporate to colors will be to have them in the boutonnieres. Dresses and all have not been decided for the girls.

I have begun an online search for wedding dresses, and bridesmaid dresses. I need to lose some weight before I start really trying on dresses. I of course cannot post pictures of my dress when I finally decide on one I love.

The ceremony will be in a church in the town I grew up in. My “flower lady” called what I told her I wanted to do, “country chic”. I’ll see if I can post some pictures.

James and I have started a budget, on an Excel sheet stored on my desktop. My first attempt at a budget. We will see how we do.

As I said….the planning and the race has started.

Now…..to start saving money…that’s another post, for a later date.
