The past 22 weeks have flown by! That’s right we are just over halfway through the pregnancy. • Pregnant…excitement,

I wanted to share the exciting news that I am pregnant, with my readers, I have been absent for so long…and I apologize, it has been a crazy year of rollercoaster emotions. We announced to family and friends after our first sonogram, talk about a neat experience, we got to hear the heartbeat, and see our little Jelly Bean for the first time. After the miscarriage, I was so excited to get to see the baby on this sonogram!  (more…)

  • Reading, Reading, and books

I think reading might be a loose term. I spend an average of 2 hours in my car driving to and from work a day. I love books, but I don’t always have time to read them, so I started using the Audible.com app for my phone. I just love it, an hour is a long time to be in the car driving and after a 12 hour shift it can be hard to stay alert. I have found that the right books can hold my interest and keep me alert on that long drive through DFW traffic getting to or from work. I thought I would share with you what I am reading, have read, and wish to read. Instead of just using a reading list on my site here, I have starting using Goodreads. It is a great way to get recommendations from friends and strangers on books.

    my read shelf:
Laura's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

    my currently-reading shelf:
Laura's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (currently-reading shelf)

    my to-read shelf:
Laura's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (to-read shelf)
See my profile to follow my reviews, feel free to add me on Goodreads, I would love recommendations from you as well.

  • 2013 Plano Balloon Festival

On September 21, 2013, James and I went to the Plano Balloon Festival. I have been in the past, but have never stayed long enough to see the balloons. Needless to say, I was very excited. I don’t know how many of you know that I have a small photography business. I have posted some of the pictures that took on my photography website. You can see my favorite shots on my Plano Balloon Festival page.
