  • What a day

Went to bed last night, at midnight, the alarm went off at 5, and I started my day. Got my stuff ready, and got chicos food and things ready for when mom came to get him. The adventure started when the Execucar showed up to take me to the airport. What a service. My driver was very nice, and indulged my asking him questions about his life, and how his business worked. I stumbled on a book at Barnes and Noble, 1000 Things to be Happy About. I bought it for my Kindle. It lists the small things in life that you should or could be happy about. Often times it’s things taken for granted. Today’s list is a fantastic example.

Stars at night: When I lived in the country with my parents, there were hardly any street lights and you could see millions if not billions of stars at night. Since I moved to the city, I don’t see quite as many starts, thanks to the street lights. I always love being outside at mom and dads looking up at all the stars just twinkling like diamonds.

How about small utility bills? I know I love to see those few Texas months were my electric bill isn’t sky-high. (note-living in an apartment and all, my bill is not as high others…so I’m speaking relatively here)

Let me know, what are you happy about today?

Monster Walker (For Dogs That Pull!) – YouTube.

I just got an email on from Coupaw, on this product. I ordered one, because I know a dog who pulls. When Chico was a pup, we were using pinch collars. They were better than choke collars. We’ll see how it works.

Does anyone else have any products for your pet products that you love?

I don’t think I have been more excited for a trip in a very long time. In less than 45 hours, I will be boarding a plane at DFW airport, and will be headed to Salt Lake City, Utah. I haven’t been on an extended vacation in quite some time. (more…)

  • Hope the Dog

Stories like the one I found on the local CBS stations website, make me sick. Some sick person taped a dog’s mouth shut with her tongue hanging out. I’m sorry and let me post a small disclaimer, there is a picture in this post that you shouldn’t look at if you are squeamish. See the post here.

The video of the story is here,

CBS 11 has updated the story, saying that Hope is recovering and is receiving donations from overseas.

I am very glad to see that people from ALL OVER THE WORLD are pulling together to support Hope. The picture in the first story of Hope with her tongue all red and gross looking, made my stomach hurt. I don’t know how anyone could even think of doing something like this. I hope the person or persons responsible for this are caught. Pets depend on their people to take care of them and love them. Someone violated a very sacred trust here. Please if you know anyone who knows anything about this please call the Parker County’s Crime Stoppers Hotline 817.599.5555.There is a reward for information leading to the capture of these people, at the last report it was $25,000.

Spread the word. Help Hope. Who knows, maybe you could be her new home. I bet she is one of the best dogs ever.

  • A little about the planning

It’s been just over 1.5 weeks since the big question. We have decided on a place for the wedding and the reception. Not to mention the actual date. Colors have been actually picked. Lavender and yellow. I found two rolls of ribbon that match what I have pictured in my head. (more…)

  • Six Days and Counting

Less than one week until I get to go visit one of my best friends and her family, in Utah! I am excited, I can’t wait to board that airplane.  I have flown 2 other times for work. This will be my first flight for fun. I will be posting as I go about the fun, and different things we do. Utah is said to have pretty big wedding industry, so we are going to go look at things around Salt Lake City, for ideas and the like. I think we are going to hiking, and hopefully see some sites.
