Progress? I think so!!!

In terms of wedding planning, I consider everything that is bought or booked as great progress. I believe that we have just less that 8 months before the big day.

We got my wedding dress a couple of days ago, from Emma’s Bridal Boutique in Red Oak, Texas. I can’t post any pictures of any of the dresses that I tried on, or of the dress that I bought because a certain groom might see. It is however a mermaid silhouette, something I never thought I would like. It was just gorgeous.

I had made an appointment at Emma’s when I saw their fashion show at the Dallas Bridal Show. I wasn’t sure I would find a dress there that I would like so I also made an appointment later in the day at Alfred Angelo in Garland, Texas.

Since my dress was bought before I went to Garland, I kept my appointment with Alfred Angelo; only to get the price for my Bridesmaids dresses, that I already knew the color and style that I wanted.

Now I just have to get my 2 bridesmaids to go try dresses on, so  their dresses can get bought in the correct sizes. The Matron of Honor’s dress has already been bought.

In between appointments my mom and I met up with James at Fire Wheel shopping center and had lunch, we also went to a few places, so that James could try on suits. He tried on a couple of jackets at Men’s Warehouse and Macy’s. He tried on a full suit at Dillard’s, that I REALLY liked…I think James liked it also.

So with venue being decided and reserved, and a decoration theme pretty well decided. I feel like a lot has been done in the 2 months we’ve had so far. Save the dates will be going out in a couple of weeks.

So, what’s next?
