Today’s Daily Post asks what smells make you think of summer:
S’mores, salty ocean breezes, veggie burgers on the grill, sweaty people on the bus — what’s the smell you associate the most with summer?
Oh my…there are so many different smells that I associate with summer. The smell of coconut (tanning oil), freshly cut grass, the smell of the lake are the ones I love the most though. When I was younger and living at home, before I started working full-time, we spent a lot of time out doors. Swimming and fishing at the lake, or outside at someone’s house where inevitably the grass was just mowed for everyone to be over.
There is still nothing like the smell of fresh-cut grass, it’s hard to describe, but I just love it. Fire up the charcoal grill in that yard and I am in heaven. Family memories, here I come.
