Today’s Daily Post asks:
We all feel down from time to time. How do you combat the blues? What’s one tip you can share with others that always helps to lift your spirits?
The blues can be hard to combat. When I’m feeling down, depending on what has me that way there are a couple of things I might do to help me feel better.
I will talk to my husband about what is bothering me. He is getting the hang of just letting me talk, because that is just what I need to do.
Sometimes a bath and some music helps to get my mind off of things and helps those blues just melt away.
I have been known to clean when I’m upset or down, not often…but it has happened once or twice.
Going shopping is a good one, not actually buying stuff, but just going to the mall to walk around and look. A little window shopping can be a great way to get out of those doldrums.
Sometimes I just have to get away from people though. I have a craft-room that has all of my scrapbook, photography, and other crafting supplies plus a tv, so if I am feeling like I need a break from people I will go back there and fiddle around with some things.
I’ll also go for a walk. I like to go the Dallas Arboretum, I love to be able to smell the flowers as you walk along the path there. Any park will do also.
What works best for you?
